Burr, It's Cold Outside

Winter has come, and it is definitely cold outside. With cold weather comes, layer after layer of clothing! So, to stay warm, I wore a lot of layers!
Jacket borrowed/ Shirt JcPenney/ Jeans Old Navy/ Scarf brought from Chile by my sister

Additionally to all the extra layers, I have enjoyed cuddling up on the coach and reading. Lately I have read A Tailor-Made Bride by Karen Witemeyer. You can find the book Here!

Bright In December

With December being almost over, I thought I would show y'all a simple casual look that can be spiced up with any scarf, hat or jewelry. This look is perfect for any day and with added accessories, makes a great outfit! I decided to use a scarf to accentuate my outfit.
Here is a before look of what my outfit would have looked without the scarf.

With the scarf, the outfit looks better and has more color!
So whenever you want to dress casual in a dark color and you feel you need more color, spice your outfit up with a bright scarf, some earrings, a bracelets or even a colorful hat and shoes!

December Vintage

In honor of all things vintage, I decided to wear a vintage dress today. The dress was once my Grandma's which makes it 50 plus years old! And to tope that all off, my Grandma made it! I was super blown away when she told me she made, which made me even more excited when she gave it to me. It's totally vintage and makes me feel like I have gone back in time to the 1950s.
I wore brown tights, brown crochet boot socks, and gray/brown boots with the dress and jacket.
Never be afraid to wear vintage clothes!

DIY: Dress to Maxi Skirt

With Christmas break, me and my sister found that we had a lot of time on our hands. So, we decided to make the most of it. We turned a dress that we both did not find very attractive into a cute maxi skirt!
Supplies: Dress, Elastic

Pantry Supplies: Sewing Machine, Scissors, Sewing Pins
1. First, cut the top of the dress off.
2. Next pin the elastic (an 1" from the edge of the fabric, then fold over) in the place where you cut off the top of the dress. next, go to the sewing machine and sew the elastic in place by sewing the folded material onto the the skirt. Make sure you measure out the needed elastic for your size! After that, you are finished!
Now you have a new Maxi Skirt!! Enjoy!

Well, Christmas is over, but the New Year is coming up. Wanted to share with y'all a gift I got for Christmas. I got some new boots from Target that you can find Here. They are super cute and come in Stone, which is the color I got and Brown and Black. They look like riding boots! They are fairly cheap for boots and I love them!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve, the time of year that everyone has a sweet smile, kind word, and cookies to give to others. I love the Christmas season, and what it brings with it. When people are nicer, your day goes smoother, and you seem to feel lighter and happier, and that is something everyone needs.
So, as Christmas day comes, I hope that you remember the true meaning of Christmas, of the birth of a savior, Jesus. Do not let the true meaning of Christmas become buried underneath layers of wrapping paper, but keep it out in the open, for everyone to see. Let the people of the world know they have a savior.
Wishing y'all the best Christmas!

Gilbert Morris is an awesome writer and I just love all of his novels! Here is the latest one I have read, The Dream, which also has many sequals!! It is a great romantic novel! Check it out!! Here

DIY: Feathered Tee

Hey gals, I saw a tutorial on a feathered tee shirt that was stamped, and decided to give it my own twist! I drew the feathers and made two sizes to give some variety to the tee.
Materials Needed: Tee (long sleeved or regular) (From Target), foam sheets (Got mine at Walmart), fabric paint (Walmart), paper for testing feather, and brush.
Make sure you test out your feather after you draw or print it from online. P.S. I drew my feathers.
My first two feathers were awesome!!
Here is what I did with my tee and how I placed the feathers.
I used my paint brush to paint the fabric paint onto the feather, so it was less mess.
After drawing the feathers, I cut them out of the foam sheet, cut little snips into them to make them look real, and taped and glued them to another foam sheet. Then I brushed fabric paint on and pressed it on the shirt.
Tada!! Here is the finished product! The shirt looks amazing and once you finish yours, it will be officially unique and one-of-a-kind! Make sure you do not limit yourself on following my steps exactly, have fun and be creative!! Enjoy making one!!

December Wedding

Hey gals, yesterday I went to my sisters best friends wedding, and let me say it was beautiful. The bride and groom decided to wait until their wedding day to kiss, and I think that is super romantic and sweet! Also, they did not have traditional wedding songs or vows, so they made their wedding unique and fresh. Basically, I love weddings!

Elegant Curled Pony

Hey gals, today I am going to tell you how to get an Elegant Curled Pony. It is the perfect updo for parties, going on a date, and of course for shopping.
Step 1. Spray hair with heat protector spray, and spray in conditioner (increases hair shine and smoothness), then section hair up (may have to section into 2-3 layers, depending on hair thickness). I sectioned my hair into 3 layers.

Step 2. Take the first layer of hair and split it in half, with half on the left side of your face and the other half on the right.

Step 3. Take the first half on (right or left) and take a 1 inch section and place your curling iron (2 inch Conair curling iron) with the point facing down and wrap hair away from your face. Hold for 10-15 seconds, then release and let the hair fall behind you shoulder, down your back.

Step 4. Repeat this process for each layer and then spray with hair spray (Tresemme Extra Firm Control).

Step 5. Gather hair and place hair into a high ponytail, and there you have it, an elegant curled ponytail.

Products used: Conair 2 inch Curling Iron Here,  Tresemme Heat Tamer Spray, Tresemme Extra Firm Control Hairspray, and Pantene Detangler for Curly Hair.

Enjoy creating your Elegant Curled Pony gals!!
