1. Loving my new aztec pattern toms! They are so comfy and cute!
2. So excited about going to Baylor in the fall! I'm still on the look out for scholarships, so if you know of any scholarships I should apply to, just let me know!
3. Working on my photography skills and hoping to start my own photography business.
4. It snowed a little bit this past Tuesday and I loved the icicles that formed on the house. They are so pretty!
5. My mom gave me her Baylor University ring from when she went to Baylor!

H54F: Blueberries Anyone?

 Happy Friday! I'm so glad it's the weekend! I'm physically and mentally exhausted and it's only the third week of school.

Well, let me get on to the 5 highs of my week and a couple from the week before.

1. My week went pretty well and I was able to go to my little cousins 2nd birthday two weeks ago when his family came to visit. It was nice to see them again. They live in California, so I only see them 1-2 times a year.

2. While driving in Houston I saw this cute dog park and since I adore dogs I decided this is definitely a highlight from my week!

Here's a little video a friend showed me that made me laugh out loud. I hope it brings a smile to your face.

3. It was national waffle day two Sundays ago and my family has named each Sunday national waffle day. I love waffles, so this was an easy decision to make.

4. Just a little picture that I took in Houston. Each time I take a picture I find something new on my camera. I'm still currently digging black and white photos.

5. Also, we celebrated my little sisters 16th birthday two weeks ago and made some special Davies family birthday recipes that I will be sharing on the blog soon.

H54F: College Life

Here are the 5 highs of my week! I had a lot, so it was really hard to choose what to share!

1. Took my brother off to college yesterday! He's living it up at UMHB now! I'm sad and excited for him.

2. For moving off somewhere for 4 months, my brother sure didn't bring that much for college. I watched some girls move in, and they seriously brought two u-haul trucks worth of stuff/junk.

3. Saw a train with some of the compartments open for hitch hikers! I would love to jump a train one day! #bucketlist #don'ttellmymom

4. Finally took a picture of the front of the moving train while going 70+ mph! It's actually really hard to get a picture of the engine. I had my younger brother help me time my picture and get it just right. Good thing we were going in the same direction as the train.

5. It rained and I could see the rain falling from heaven. It looks so cool!

H54F: Witnessing

Happy Friday! This week and last week have just been so much fun! I got to go on a mission trip in New Orleans and make lots of memories and impact the lives of those affected by Katrina.

Here are the 5 highs of my week. It was actually really hard trying to pick just 5 highs from my week because I had so many.

1. I got to meet a cute little puppy that was being pushed in a stroller. I have to say that is pretty smart but weird to push your puppy in a stroller.

2. Got to eat beignets in New Orleans at Cafe Du Monde.

3. There was a french themed dog show going on while I was in New Orleans and all the dogs were dressed up so nice, but this poodle was my favorite.

4. Found this little piece of truth in a store in New Orleans.

5. Was so excited that I got to go to the Cafe Du Monde. It was seriously packed!

H54F: Independence

Here are the five highs of last week, since I'm writing this post Sunday, July 7 and have no idea what the highs of my week will be since I'm still out of town. Since it was July 4 last week it seemed fitting to label this post Independence. I had a great Fourth of July and hope you did to. Anyway here are the five highs of my week.

1. I saw some cute little English bull dog puppies for sale when I was at Wal-Mart. I really wish I could've snatched one up and taken it home.

2. I got to spend two days in Galveston, Texas at the Galvez Hotel. It was so nice and it had everything! It was literally right on the Gulf of Mexico. I just had to walk across the street to go to the beach!

3. Went to Murdochs, a store on the boardwalk and found a bazillion Jesus Sandals, also known as Pali Hawaii Sandals. It was pure heaven.

4. The Galvez Hotel had the most beautiful pool and a great view of the Gulf of Mexico in the background.

5. I tried to even out my tan at the Galvez Hotel. It might've worked a little.

H54F: Summer

Happy first day of Summer and happy Friday! Here's what I did this week.

1. I made a cute box at the Mad Potter and love it! My family planned a big birthday party there for the May birthdays and I just got my completed work of art last Saturday. Such a cute place for parties.

2. Went to an outdoor theater and watched High School Musical. It was a lot of fun and the performance was awesome!

3. Downtown traveling. Went on a downtown bike ride yesterday. Loved it!

4. In love with my new Jesus sandals as I call them! I feel like I'm back in Biblical Times.

5. Had to do a little pose on the small train track that I saw in downtown.

H54F: Fear is a Choice

Happy, happy Friday! They're has been a lot going on this week. 

1. Went to see After Earth yesterday and loved it! I love adventure movies and I loved the theme of the movie that fear is a choice. It relates back to my post on Wednesday Bless The Lord

2. Made a necklace out of washers and love how it turned out!

3. My sister made this cool mason jar soap dispenser. I've been seeing them all over Pinterest and she made it only about 20 minutes!

4. My camera bag is ready for my new camera!

5. I bought the canon 60d and am so excited! It was a really good deal and I'm so glad I was smart and waited a little before I bought it.

H54F: Visitors

Happy spanky Friday y'all! Hope your week was as exciting as mine!

1. In honor of D-Day, which is June 6, my family and I watched the Longest Day with John Wayne, aka Marilyn Morrison. Very long, intense, surreal movie.

2. My cousins came over and we have spent last night watching the Longest Day and playing Apples to Apples. Best, funniest game ever!

3. On top of Apples to Apples, we played a lot to bs, known as Peanut Butter in our house, and spoons. In general tons of card games.

4. Due to 90+ degree weather, my Canadian water bottle has saved my life this week. I've gone on several bike rides, played tennis, went on nature walks and have always had my trusty water bottle to quench my thirst.

5. Due to the unruly sweet tooth in my family we couldn't resist making brownies. We made gluten free, I'll have to share the recipes on these soon, and the chocao brownies we made. Both we're super good!

And there is my week!

Happy Friday! Here are the five highs of my week.
1. Loved going tubing down the San Marcos River.
2. Caught my first firefly ever!
3. Really enjoyed chilling by the San Marcos River and being able to relax.
4. Had my first smore in a waffle cone (best thing ever)!!!
5. My little brother was such a hoot over Memorial Weekend and kept me very entertained!

H54F: Prayers

Here are the five highs of my week.

1. I have really enjoyed the Bible study quiet times for this week.

2. My best friend bought me this bag while she was on vacation in Colorado. I absolutely love it! It's handmade and beautiful.

3. Finally started using detangler spray. My hair is getting super long and it takes about 10 minutes to brush it after I shower, so detangler spray has really helped me save time.

4. Chapstick,  enough said. It's amazing and perfect for dry weather!

5. I've been reading my favorite author, Tracie Peterson's book A Lady of High Regard. 

P.S. I'm so glad that the Boston Marathon bomber has been caught and am still praying for all the people affected by the bombings, and shootings.

5. Loving my gold sequin sandals.

Happy Friday! This week has been awesome!

1. Since it's been so warm, I've been playing lots of tennis.

2. Aren't these flowers beautiful! They know that Spring is here.

3. I ate this cookie last night, and it was the size of my hand!

4. I thought I didn't have any animal print, but then I remembered these shoes. They are so cute!

5. Watched this movie with my family and now it's one of my favorites! Any movie with rugby or lacrosse is good!

Here are the five highs of my week.

1. I am in the middle of the 4th book of a series by Judith Miller and am so excited to find out the end! It's a series set before, during, and after World War II, and is through the eyes of three sisters.

2. I got my first snow cone of 2013! Me and my sister shared a snow cone called margarita. It tastes like lemon and limes, and is so good!

3. I got a new dress! It's a cute teal color and is perfect for Spring!

4. Yesterday I got some patches to put underneath some new jeans I got that have hole in them. The jeans are so cute, but I want them to last, and putting a patch underneath the holes will make it last longer.

5. And the last high of my week, are these awesome shoes! I got them from Shop The Docks. They are so cute, and are perfect for the beach and just chilling, like I did today.

High Five For Friday

 

Happy Friday! I am so excited for Spring break, and everything that's happening this next week during Spring Break!

Here goes the five highs of my week.

1. My birthday was this Monday, and it was amazing! I really enjoyed going out to eat with my family and watching videos of when I was younger with my family! Yeah for family videos!

2. I got my nails painted! As a gift to me, my sister gave me a pedicure, and painted my nails this cute coral pink!

3. Also, my sister decided that doing my nails wasn't enough, so she curled my hair and made her own hairstyle up, and I have to say it turned out super cute!

4. Oxfords! I love oxfords and I wore my new pair from my sister this week! I absolutely love them!

5. My grandma, affectionately known as Gigi wrote me a card and told me stories of when her and my grandpa (Pappy) were traveling when he was in the U.S. Air Force. I love learning about my family and enjoyed the stories she shared!

High Five For Friday

Here are Five Highs of My Week.

1. Loving listening to Kari Jobe. My favorite song right know is We Exalt You Name.

2. Missing warm weather, but loving that I have taken so many pictures of flowers so I can still enjoy spring as if it had already come. I took this picture in Canada last summer. No matter where I go, I seem to always take a picture of a flower, tree, or river.

3. Wore some cute black flats that I haven't worn in forever.

4. Doing a bible studay with my church over the book of Job. Have to say that I am really inspired through Job's trust in God even when he faced so many trials.

5. To help with my Spanish, I have started reading a New Testament Bible in Spanish.

High Five For Friday

1: I had a great time at a Father Daughter Banquet that I went to this week!

2: This week, the youth at my church are having an event we call D-Now, where they learn more about God and grow in their relatioinship with him. This is one of the funny rules lists that one of the host home leaders made for their home. I laughed so hard at 29 and 35.

3: At the Father Daughter Banquet, they had cute little cupcakes and I had to take a picture of them. They were super delicious too!!

4: I just got one of Ted Dekker's new books call Mortal, and I can't wait to read it and see what it's about.

5: For Christmas this year, my sister gave me a book called Hinds Feet On High Places, and although I haven't finished it yet, it has been a good read. It's a great story about trusting God and giving him your fears, kind of like John Bunyan's, Pilgrim's Progress, but shorter, and easier to read.

This week has been awesome and I am still looking forward to the events of tonight and the rest of the week!!

High Five For Friday

Happy High Five For Friday!! This week has been an especially good week for me.

 

1. I got to wear a heart necklace! It was a gift from last year and I am so glad I wore it! Also, it's perfect for the Valentines season!

 

2. This week, it rained alot, so I wore my Sperry's basically the whole week. They kept me dry and were so comfortable!

3. Read an amazing book by Wanda Brunstetter. It was a great book about love. loss, and a new beginning.

4. Read a mystery book by Collen Coble. What girl doesn't love a girl detective?!

5. Made a favicon picture for my blog. LC are the initials to my blog and it looks wonderful!!
