I love everything about this outfit! It's cute and can be paired with a cute cardigan or light jacket if it get's chilly. The shirt is very versaitile for all the seasons of the year, which makes it a 100x better!

I got this shirt as a birthday gife last year and have loved it ever since. I haven't seen any other shirts in all of my shopping trips that have the same elastic sleeves and waist like this shirt, but I would love to find another one! I am all about the rustic looks right now. Everything from leather and fringe to oversized sweaters and boyfriend cardigans, I love it! Rustic outfits just make me feel cozy and like a rebel, and everyone wants to feel like that, right?  So in view of all things rustic, I put an outfit together that features articles of clothing that I love.

 

The colors in my outfit are just so pretty and it's an effortless look but looks really put together. The black skirt is really comfortable and comes in different colors at Target. I feel like someone from Colorado in this outfit and I love the natural look that it gives me. I am all about comfy, but cute outfits, and this outfit fits the description perfectly! The cold weather this week has lessened, which means, more light clothing! So to stay fairly warm, I wore a light plaid button down shirt. I love this shirt! It's cute, great for winter and layering, and it works for spring and summer too with a pair of shorts. What is not to love about the shirt! Well, the weather has been changing and changing. I don't think it can decide between cold or hot, so it's just cool and breezy. With the change in weather, layering excessively has come to a close, at least for the time being.

Corduroys, the perfect way to accent an outfit, they give new dimension and spice to an outfit. I love corduroys because you can do so much with them. These chocolate brown corduroys that I found at Jcrew look amazing! I added the gold to the outfit to give it more color and the Essie nail color just added the spice the outfit needed. Maroon and Cream

Lets just say, it's winter. With all the ice, rain, sleet and everything in between, everyone knows that winter is here. With winter, comes of course warmer clothes and more layers. So, in honor of all things warm, here is a cute look that I wore to stay warm. 

As you probably have gathered from my other style posts, I am all about scarves. They are perfect for accenting every outfit! Also, they keep you warm during the cold days of winter, which is always a plus. 

So here is to winter, hot chocolate, cold days, snuggling in a blanket, reading a good book, and basically hibernating through winter.

High Five for Friday

Happy Friday! It has been a long week! Here are five highs of my week!

1. I received an unexpected thank you card and a gift card to Tutti Frutti! Let me tell you, when letters are scarce, it is always exciting to receive one!

2. This weeks I tried a new color polish, called corduroy from Petite nail polish and I love it! The color is turquoise looking and looks wonderful! It's always an exciting week when I get to try something new!

 

3. I finished a great book by Robin Lee Hatcher, that was filled with adventure and of course, some romance. I have to say it was a great read and I enjoyed it tremendously! 

P.S. I love to read!

 

4. My child that I sponsor through Compassion International sent me a letter. I cannot tell you how happy I am to have this letter! The girl I sponsor always sends sweet messages and draws me a cute picture. She drew me a bunch of bananas for this letter. So glad I decided to sponsor her, and make her life better!

Yeah for more mail! This sure has been a great week filled with lots of letters!

5. Yeah to perfecting new piano songs! I am so excited that I have the opportunity and the knowledge to play piano!

I love music, and I don't know what I would do without!

Mustard + Black

Mustard and Black! This mustard shirt is one of my favorites. It goes with anything and I love it! 

I love mustard and orange toned clothing. When I bought this top I got about four other tops in the same tone! What can I say, I love mustard and orange!

Your probably saying I know, I know, you have strawberry blonde hair, no wonder you like orange and mustard!! And yes, you are absolutely right, that does make me love orange and mustard even more!

Anyway, this outfit came up out of the blue, I mean, I have never paired these items before, but here are the results of my being adventurous. What do you think? Do you love mustard and orange clothing?

Corduroy Nails and Sparkles

 

 

Although I am not a person who wears nail polish 100 percent of the time, I do like to wear it on occasion. So, in view of the fact that I have not polished my nails in awhille, I decided to try a new polish that I got called Corduroy from Petite. It is a warm blue green color, that I think looks wonderful! Here is how I polished my nails.

 

Step 1: Apply a 1 coat of top coat on your nails. I used Sally Hansen's Hard As Nails.

 

Step 2: Then apply two coats of Petites Corduroy.

 

Step 3: Then choose a nail that you want to add some sparkle to. I chose my ring finger on both hands. I used NYC White Lights Glitter.

 

Step 4: Apply your top coat, and your ready to go!!

I put this outfit together after I found some cute metallic skirts. I have never been a real metallic apparel person, but through looking at other articles of metallic clothing, I am definitely hooked and cannot wait to add more metallic to my wardrobe! Floral Print In The Cold

Floral in winter! Even though it is winter, it is the perfect time to wear cute floral outfits! I paired a floral dress together with some brown tights and grey boots. I wore a braided fishtail to add a little dimention to the outfit. To add some accesories, I added a star necklace that I recieved as a birthday gift from my grandma, and voila, there you have the perfect winter outfit!
